Lunch time in Kennedy Park
LEWISTON — The City of Lewiston and Sun Journal will sponsor a lunch time in Kennedy Park event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31.
The event will feature The Mont Sweagers Irish Celtic Band, a photography display and a food truck.
History Barn open house
NEW GLOUCESTER — The next monthly open house of the New Gloucester History Barn will be held o from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 1, behind the Town Hall on Intervale Road.
New Gloucester residents are encouraged to come and learn more about their historic neighborhood exhibits. The vehicle collection is on permanent display.
The event is free and open to the public.
Farmer’s market open Tuesdays
AUBURN — The City of Auburn has announced the return of the Auburn Farmer’s Market for the summer from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Oct. 2 in the Rolly’s Diner parking lot, 87 Mill St.
Pantry seeks book donations
AUBURN — The High Street Food Pantry is seeking donations of children’s books for infants through teens.
Donations may be brought to the Auburn United Methodist Church, at 439 Park Ave.

Cribbage league to play
LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League plays Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 65 Central Ave.
Doors open at 8 a.m., and games will begin at 9 a.m.
The league plays through April, but games are played year-round.
