WESTBROOK – Narissa B. Cunningham, 96, died Friday Oct. 12, 2018 at the Stroudwater Lodge Living Center in Westbrook, Maine. She was born in Dixfield, Maine, Feb. 13, 1922 the daughter of Elliott and Una Lorene (Holman) Brown. Narissa graduated from Mexico High School class of 1939.


Narissa was a Realtor in the greater Portland area having worked at ARA Pilgrim Associates, C21 LandMark Realty and Mark Stimson Associates. Upon retirement from real estate she was a toll collector on the Maine Turnpike in 2002. She enjoyed her floral and vegetable gardens and loved spending time with her family.

Narissa was married in Rumford, Maine on July 31, 1939 to Alfred E. Cunningham. Survivors include two sons, Wayne and his wife Denise of Oakland, Maine, and Bruce and his wife Susan of Alaska; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred, two sons, Alfred, Jr and Robert, a sister, Theresa Thomas and two brothers Roland Brown and Grayson Brown.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at the MEADER & SON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND MONUMENT SERVICES, 3 Franklin St., P. O. Box 537, Rumford, Maine. Interment will be in the Farrington Morton Cemetery in Mexico, Maine. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the funeral.
