Robert A. Chase Sr.

1939 – 2018

Lewiston – On September 29,2018, a husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was lost to brain cancer at D’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston, ME. Robert A. “Bob” Chase Sr. was born in Poland, ME on February 20, 1939 to Hazel and Stephen Chase. He was the only boy of four  children (Mary, Marilyn & Linda). He has been married to his wife Ida for nearly 60 years, and had one son, Robert Junior. Bob worked over 30 years as an auto-mechanic at Louie’s Chevrolet until his retirement.

Bob loved watching old westerns, NASCAR, and the Red Sox and was also a car enthusiast. But above all else he loved his family, and their happiness was always his priority. All who were impacted by his life and smile knew him as a “good man.” Bob is survived by his wife Ida Chase, his daughter-in-law Dawn, his grandchildren Katrina, Jillian, Steven, Cassidy, and Jackson and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Robert Jr.

Visitation Fri. Fortin Group / AUBURN 10 AM – 2 PM. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home Sat. 4 PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to his wife Ida, during this time of need.
