Zumba classes held on Wednesdays

PARIS — Zumba Classes for the community are held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Deering Memorial Community Center (stone church), 39 Main St., on the corner of Church Street in South Paris. Recommended donation is $1.  Wear comfortable clothes and sneakers and bring water.

Legion to host Texas Hold’em Tournament

SABATTUS — American Legion Post 135, 40 Island Road, will host a Texas Hold’em Tournament on Thursday, Oct. 25. The public is invited. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and games will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Buy-in is $35, with an optional $5 for high hand. There will also be a 50/50. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. FMI: contact 207-212-2156.

Cemeteries to close for winter months

ROXBURY — The Town of Roxbury cemeteries will be closing for the winter months. The cemetery committee would like to remind everyone that they need to remove their flower arrangements and/or decorations by Friday, Nov. 2.

Peru to hold Selectboard meeting
