LEWISTON – Mike Jimmy Nadeau, 69, of Lewiston, died unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at Maine Medical Center. He was born on April 21, 1949, a son of Robert J. and Germaine D. Berube Nadeau.

Mike served in the Vietnam War, Army Infantry Division from 1968-1970. He was very proud to serve his country. He worked at several local factories over the years including Arno Moc, L&A Heel Co. and Etonic Shoe. He worked construction for Harry Crooker and Blue Rock Industries. He also worked at BIW for some time.
Mike enjoyed going for daily rides around the area, playing cards, doing puzzles, watching National Geographic, horror movies, and country music stations but mostly visiting with family and friends. He was a member of the Pastime Social Club, and the ACME Social Club.
Mike was predeceased by both of his parents and most recently his brother Ralph J. Nadeau and son-in-law, Don R. Castonguay. Survivors include his loving companion of 40 years, Kathleen Simon, their children Glenn Simon and his wife Janice of New York, Debra Castonguay of Lewiston, Mike Simon and wife Lorraine of California, Carl Simon of Lewiston, and Jackie Rideout and husband Bill of Turner; his sister Jane Lavoie and husband Roger of Lewiston; sister-in-law Donna Nadeau of Auburn; eight grandchildren, Brad, Melinda, Doug, David, Dana, Dayle, Isaiah, and Sarah; six great -grandchildren, Parker, Sylvie, Gabriel, Simon, Beau and Everly; and nieces Tammy Judd and Kate Nadeau.
Committal service will be held at the Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road in Augusta, on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.funeralalternatives.net.
