I was shocked and disgusted by the intensity of a recent poster circulated by Poliquin for Congress boldly labelling Jared Golden as a liar. Poliquin’s biennial emergence from his lair at election time spouting such negatively vehement, un-civil discourse epitomizes the pervasive problem of extreme polarization paralyzing politics and government today.

Poliquin and his minions should stick to a simple presentation of fact-checked information on policy positions, both for himself and his opponent.

I have had enough disgraceful ultra-extreme rhetoric. There is too much at stake to spend so much time and money on character assassination. All that money and energy should be spent on problem-solving — and soon.
