CANTON, ME – Margaret L. “Peg” Libby, 69, of Mexico, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Pinnacle Health and Rehab in Canton, Maine.

She was born in Rumford, Maine on December 6, 1948, the daughter of Lawrence and Delma (Legere) Libby, and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford Class of 1968.

Peg served three years in the U. S. Navy. She worked for many years until retirement from Newpage Paper Mill in Rumford in 2012 from the sample department.

She was a Communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St John Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, working in her yard, enjoyed all kinds of animals, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was married in March 2005 in Mexico to Francis Joseph Arsenault who died a short time later in June 2005.

Survivors include a niece Johelen Tolman and nephew Michael Mercier;  special cousins Janette Orino and husband Ted of Rumford and Dorothy Swan and husband Ray of Brunswick; special friends Ted and Priscilla Gotto of Mexico; and was predeceased by her parents; husband; a sister Faye Mercier, and four infant siblings.

Her family sends a special thanks to Pinnacle Health & Rehab and their staff for her excellent care and thoughtfulness shown to Peg.

A Prayer service will be conducted for family and friends 6 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the MEADER  &  SON  FUNERAL  HOME, CREMATION AND MONUMENTS SERVICES, 3 Franklin St., P. O. Box 537, Rumford, ME 04276.
