After a long enforced vacation on account of the Spanish flu epidemic, the Auburn Grange is to open its doors Saturday for an all-day meeting. The lecturer, Mrs. A. L. An overnight parking ban in Lewiston and Auburn went into effect at midnight last night. The West Auburn School Historical Society recently held an open house at the school to allow interested people to view the restoration progress that has been made to date. More than 100 people visited the building during the course of the two-hour event. Photographs and memorabilia on loan from Tom and Ginger Gould showed scenes and activities which took place in North and West Auburn. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries the area was the center of town and the Portland Stagecoach passed through this area regularly. Copies of the Lewiston Daily Sun and Evening Journal from the years 1920s, 1940s, 1950s, and the 1970s were on display, compliments of Dennis and Beverly Spofford. June Spear assisted with these displays.
