Fiddle and pipes played by Anthony and Una Shostak will fill the air at this week’s Oasis of Music at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28. The Shostaks are a father-daughter team of musicians who specialize in the marches, airs, jigs, reels and hornpipes of Ireland. Una is a 9-year old fiddler with several years of experience, including taking lessons from Pam Weeks, who plays fiddle for Maine-based trio Ti Acadie. Her father, Anthony, plays the Uillean pipes, an Irish specialty instrument which is bellows-blown and has a set of drones that include regulators that allow chords to be played with the forearm. The show will be at Trinity Church, 247 Bates St. in Lewiston. Admission is free. For more information, call 207-344-3106.
