Jonathan Giasson, 32, holds a sign seeking assistance Tuesday evening at the intersection of Lisbon and Main streets in Lewiston. Giasson said he has been homeless on and off since he was a teenager. “The main thing is to be able to get out of the wind,” he said. He utilizes local shelters, and last winter Trinity Jubilee Center in Lewiston gave him a pair of boots, which he wore out. Area shelters accept warm clothing, boots and money to help the homeless.
