Curator Charles Longley from the Norway Museum and Historical Society shows a group of third graders from Rowe School historical artifacts that would have been used in every day life in the home. Retired teachers Bruce Watts and Peter Hammond, along with Longley, arranged for 50 third graders in three groups over three days to walk down Main Street with their teachers to the society museum. Longley showed each group artifacts from long ago such as ice skates, a bed foot warmer and a model of a machine that rolled snow instead of plowing. Volunteer Patty Watts gave all 50 children a pair of red wool mittens that she had knitted for them throughout the year.
