BOWDOIN – Shirley E. Chase, 77, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, in Brunswick. She was born Oct. 14, 1941, in Bowdoin to Ellery and Vivian (Curtis) Wheeler. Shirley has been a lifelong resident of Bowdoin. She graduated from Lisbon High School with the Class of 1960.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles “Charlie” Chase of Bowdoin; her children, Corey Chase and his wife, Denise, of Lisbon Falls, Kevin Chase and his wife, Michele, of Topsham and Karla Chase of Bowdoin; three brothers, Kenneth Wheeler and his wife Jane, Wendall Wheeler and his wife, Carol, and Walter Wheeler and his wife, Linda; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., in Brunswick, a graveside service will be held later in the spring at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Bowdoin.
