A weekend of live music at Mixers begins at 8:30 p.m. Friday when Southern Maine rock and roll band Brazen Cane will take the stage. Brazen Cane plays classic to rock, the best songs of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s to today. They play music by bands like The Who, Sublime, Bryan Adams, CCR, The Cars, Sublime and many more. They play something for everyone. Beginning at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, groovy rock band Shiny Objects (pictured) will play their upbeat music and great harmonies, accompanied by a great light show. Band members include: Derek Ayer, lead guitar/lead vocals/bass guitar/backing vocals; Judy Jolicoeur, lead vocals/keyboards/rhythm guitar/backing vocals; Frank Nava, lead vocals/bass guitar/backing vocals; and Dave Lydan, twirly sticks/make-you-dance drums.
