A Cape Elizabeth school bus carrying elementary school students was involved in a minor crash Thursday morning, according to school officials.

Bus 12 slid into a mailbox as it was picking up students headed to Pond Cove Elementary School, school officials said in a statement on the district’s Facebook page. There were three students, an educational technician and a driver on the bus.

There were no apparent injuries, but school nurses will continue to check on the students throughout the day, school officials said.

The students were taken to school following the incident.
