FARMINGTON — The Cascade Brook School has been busy lately. Students helped conduct a “Pennies for Patients” coin drive, and collected $1044.15 over a month’s time for children with cancer and for cancer research. All money raised went to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The school’s Civil Rights Team had an opportunity to learn about nationalities from Japanese exchange student Erina Akatsu. Erina presented a thorough slideshow about her country, her daily life, pop culture in Japan, food, and many more concepts. The team loved her enthusiasm and her willingness to share her culture with them.
