LEWISTON — Toby McAllister will appear from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Pedro O’Hara’s, 134 Main St. There will be no cover.
McAllister has been traveling the world with his band, Sparks The Rescue, for almost 10 years from doing the Warped Tour to a European stint opening for the All American Rejects, all within the walls of a 15-passenger van.
He still travels with the band, including residency at Sloppy Joe’s in Key West four times a year, Jersey Shore, Atlantic City and Boston, to name a few. However, when home, McAllister plays out as much as possible as a solo artist. You can find him all over southern and central Maine multiple times a month.
He plays everything from Johnny Cash to Taylor Swift, and will incorporate a few original songs into every show as well. His shows are filled with energy, an eclectic set list and, most of all, a great time.
David Young & The Interstate Kings will play from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, March 2. There will be no cover.
Conceived in 2015, David Young & The Interstate Kings are a three-piece plugged-in tour-de-force. Based out of Maine, The Interstate Kings pull inspiration from a variety of Americana genres to craft their unique style: Rock n’ Roll, Blues, Country and Folk influence all come together in one band to create an American sound.
The Interstate Kings have over 30 years of combined instrumental experience between them, despite the fact that they’re only in their early 20s.
With ears for the old and minds for the new, The Interstate Kings take the best from Americana music through the ages to create a timeless sound sure to get people dancing and thinking at the same time.
