BROWNFIELD — A 57-year-old Fryeburg man died Tuesday night when he was thrown from his pickup truck that rolled over on Route 113, the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office said.

David Chute was traveling north at a high speed when his 2008 Nissan Titan rolled over several times, the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. He was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The highway, also known as Pequawket Trail, was shut down for several hours after the 7:40 p.m. crash.

Fryeburg and Hiram fire departments, the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office and Maine State Police responded to the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
