LIVERMORE — A three-vehicle crash on Route 4 at noon Friday sent four people to the hospital, at least some with serious injuries, authorities said.

No names or vehicle information had been released by early evening.

Deputies from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Route 4, which is Federal Road, and Autumn Lane in Livermore.

Law enforcement officials were still on scene midafternoon performing accident reconstruction work due to the serious injuries and investigating the cause. Route 4 from the Boothby Road to Waters Hill Road was closed to all traffic.

Livermore Falls Police Department, Livermore Fire Department, NorthStar Ambulance, Turner Fire and Rescue departments and Life Flight assisted at the scene.
