OXFORD — A 50-year-old motorcyclist broke his leg Wednesday when after he crashed his bike on Pleasant Street in Oxford, according to police.

Rodney Ribas of Otisfield was taken by ambulance to a Lewiston hospital following the 5 p.m. accident, near the Thompson Lake causeway.

No other vehicle was involved.

Sgt. Zachary Bisson of the Oxford Police Department said speed was likely a factor in the accident.
