Students celebrated the first day of Catholic Schools Week by participating in service projects, including making bird feeders for nursing homes, handed decorated ceramic mugs for front-line workers, 20 blankets for the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, Valentines for local clergy and nursing home residents and 11 bookcases for Trinity Jubilee Center. Griesbach said reaching out to the community has been more difficult because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but students and staff are determined to find a way. “It’s important to teach lessons to kids even if the circumstances have changed drastically,” he said.
