Coastal Carolina University names area graduates

CONWAY, S.C. — Coastal Carolina University recognized nearly 700 students during its in-person fall 2020 commencement ceremony on Dec. 11. Among the graduates was Billie Rogers, anthropology and geography major, of Avon.

Area students named to Gettysburg College dean’s list

GETTYSBURG, Pa. — Area Gettysburg College students were named to the dean’s honors list for the 2020 fall semester: Alexander Dau of Bowdoinham, Samuel Jagolinzer of Topsham, Elizabeth Johnson of Greene and Anita Woofenden of Bowdoinham.

Students whose semester averages were 3.6 or above were placed on the list.

Harris earns University of the Cumberlands degree

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — University of the Cumberlands has announced Danielle Harris of Lewiston earned her doctor of education in educational leadership in fall 2020.

Reed named to Hofstra University dean’s list

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Davynntayne Reed of Oxford excelled during the 2020 fall semester at Hofstra University, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the dean’s list.
