A Massachusetts woman was killed Saturday in a motorcycle crash in Lyman, according to Maine State Police.

Anne Stout, 50, of Maynard, Mass., was a passenger on the back of a motorcycle being driven by Gerald Gibson, 51, of Sanford. Neither Stout nor Gibson was wearing a helmet, state police said.

Gibson was driving north on Old North Berwick Road when the accident happened at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The motorcycle left the roadway and crashed into a ditch. Stout was ejected from the motorcycle and died from her injuries, state police said.

Gibson was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland with minor injuries.
