TURNER — Voters passed MSAD 52’s proposed $28.3 million school budget at the polls Thursday.

The budget was approved by votes of 63-34 in Turner, 78-35 in Greene and 23-12 in Leeds, according to town office staff.

Greene also had one ballot left blank.

The 2021-22 school budget was 0.85% higher than the current school year’s but the impact on residents was greater — an average 3.64% tax increase — due to a drop in enrollment that triggered nearly $500,000 in reduced state funding.
