AUBURN — Dustin Collins, a master technician at VIP Tires & Service, earned Automotive Service Excellence Master Technician status over the past month.

To achieve this high level of certification, technicians must complete demanding voluntary testing outside of regular work hours that, on average, can take up a hundred hours to finish.

VIP encourages all technicians to become certified in as many ASE categories as possible and pays for all study materials and the cost of the ASE exams.
