The Portland Sea Dogs (23-16) got home runs from Tate Matheny, Joey Meneses and Hudson Potts and earned their third straight win Thursday night, 4-1 over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (11-27) in Binghamton, New York.

Matheny’s home run in the first inning was the game’s lone run until Meneses connected for a two-run homer in the eighth and Potts followed with his first home run of the season.

Emmanuel De Jesus (2-1) allowed five hits over five innings to earn the win. Denyi Reyes kept the shutout going until the ninth, when Binghamton scored on a hit, two walks and a sacrifice fly. Jose Adames recorded the final three outs for his 10th save.
