For the last 21 years, the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club has held an annual duck race every year but last because of the pandemic. This year’s race will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 4, at the bridge on Main Street overlooking the Stevens Brook in downtown Bridgton. Winners will receive cash prizes: 1st prize is $500, 2nd prize is $250, 3rd prize is $100.

The duck race is one of the club’s biggest fundraisers and the 2021 Duck Race team leader Rotarian Aaron Hagan, from Key Bank in Bridgton said, “It is so great to be back 100 percent for this event. We’ll be selling duck race tickets at $5 each and five for $20 outside Renys and the Bridgton Farmers Market on the last two weekends in June, at the fireworks on July 3rd, and at the race site on the morning of the 4th. You can get your tickets at any of those places or from your favorite Rotarian,” according to a news release from the club.

Funds raised support the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Clubs projects with youth, seniors, veterans, food pantries, literacy and much more.
