DENMARK — The Denmark Arts Center is to offer a Sensory Music Science Camp from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, to Friday, July 9, at Bicentennial Park under pavilion and tent, across from the arts center at 50 West Main St.

The camp, for children up to 6 years of age, starts with 317 Main Little Roots music for three days and will support exploration and foster multi-sensory and social emotional learning. Parents are encouraged to attend and participate. The fourth day is taught by Children’s Museum of Maine with a morning of “Wigglers, Fossils, and Whales.”

Sensory Science will have children dive into hands-on learning, discovering what water beads, slow moving slime, flowing fog machines, and honey have in common.

Little Roots is a high-quality, developmentally appropriate, music education curriculum for children, with toddler music sessions incorporating the community’s young families. Parents and caregivers engage in simple songs, rhythms, rhymes, and movement activities. Musical instruments are incorporated to create a playful experience while work with beats and tempo.

CDC guidelines will be followed for all camps.

Register online at denmarkarts.org. The free camp is sponsored by the Charles and Rayma Guarino Fund.
