The National Weather Service declared a severe thunderstorm watch Wednesday for most of Maine.
Lightning, hail and damaging wind gusts will be the primary threats with these storms, according to the NWS. The watch is in effect until 7 p.m.
The high temperature in Lewiston is expected to reach 90, and the humidity will continue. A heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in south central, southwest and western Maine, according to the NWS.
