Recent photo by visitor at Valentine Farm

BETHEL — There has been a recent sighting of a very tiny person riding on the back of a bird at Mahoosuc Land Trust Valentine Farm. We believe a group of tiny people may be scouting for a place to live.

Information on these people is scarce.  Here is what we know: they are small (approximately 3” tall); they live in forests both on the ground and in trees, they protect and care for wildlife, and they are very secretive. There have been very few sightings of them around the world.

If enough children build homes for them, they may settle at Valentine Farm. We need your help to make sure that happens!

Get your building permit to build a house for the tiny folks on Saturday and Sunday, August 7 and 8, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Habitat Garden at Valentine Farm (162 North Road, Bethel).  Bring natural building materials to make your house special.  Please leave artificial materials at home so we don’t scare them off!  A limited amount of additional materials will be available.
