Where are our school leaders? During the ’50s and ’60s polio era, schools stepped up. During first decade of this century and the H1N1 influenza outbreak, schools stepped up.
For the life of me, I cannot understand why our school leaders are not only stepping up, they are walking away. Shame on them.
Masks should be mandated for everyone in all of our schools, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated. Trust the experts.
We all still fighting this deadly virus. There are children who are not eligible for the vaccine at this time, and there are students and staff who have underlying complications that prohibit them from getting a vaccine.
It’s not too late for school leaders do the bare minimum: require masks for everyone in our schools. It’s not too late for school leaders to lead like those who preceded them.
