Phillip E. Bubier
AUBURN – Phillip E. Bubier, 85, of Greene passed away on August 18, 2021 at Androscoggin Hospice House. He was born in Greene on August 28, 1935, the son of Forrest & Beatrice(Pettingill) Bubier. He attended Schools in Greene and Lewiston High School.At the age of 17 he started working in textile mills, Globe Albany Felt in Monmouth, W.S. Libbey in Lewiston and he was one of the original founders of Insulsafe Textiles, Inc. in Lewiston-retiring in 2000.On June 20, 1953 he married Betty Jane Field, they had 58 years together-she passed in 2011. They raised their six children at the farmhouse in Greene.He had several side interests. He was a member of the United States Trotting Association, he owned, trained and raced horses for many years. He had a milk route delivering milk to homes as Bubier’s Dairy. He had a license to trap lobsters. He was a member of Maine Trappers Association. He was a long time member of the Monmouth Lodge #110 of Maine Freemasonry.He spent lots of time at his camp in Madrid, Maine. He traveled the world for work and pleasure. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with family and friends. He had many sayings and the best sense of humor even in his last days!He is survived by his daughter Deborah and husband Edward Giroux of Greene, his sons Jeffrey and wife Jeannine Bubier of Monmouth, Dale and wife Colleen Bubier of Gray, Brian and wife Lisa Bubier of Monmouth and James Bubier of Greene; 13 grandchildren, Ryan, Todd, Tara, Keith, Josh, Jennifer, Rebekah, Heather, Sarah, Melissa, Caleb, Alec and Autumn-Rose; 18 great-grandchildren; his brothers Kenneth and wife Evelyn Bubier and Gerald Bubier. He was predeceased by his wife Betty; son Emery Bubier – 2018; and brothers Clayton and David Bubier.Per our Dad’s request there will be no visiting hours or funeral.Donations may be made in memory of Phillip E.
