OXFORD — A Norway motorcyclist was injured Wednesday afternoon when he lost control of his Harley-Davidson on Gore Road, according to Oxford police.

Timothy Miles, 44, was riding near 72 Gore Road about 5 p.m. when he lost control of his bike and laid it down. It appeared Miles may have lost control on the soft shoulder, police said, but the wreck was still being investigated.

Police said Miles suffered injuries to his face that were not considered life-threatening. He was taken first to Stephens Memorial Hospital and then to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

His condition was not immediately available. Police said Miles was not wearing a helmet.
