Lawrence J. Saucier
LEWISTON – The Lord called Lawrence J. Saucier of Lewiston on Aug. 25, 2021 at the age of 93. He was born in Madawaska to George and Sophie (Desjardins).
Lawrence was preceded in death by his loving wife Therese (Pelletier) of 65 years and by his son Bruce. He is survived by his son Lawrence and wife Mary of Ellsworth, his daughter Joline and husband Roger Sarrazin of North Carolina, his son Steve of Lewiston, son Clayton of Lewiston and son Raymond of Auburn.
Lawrence very much enjoyed spending time with his seven grandchildren and his nine great-grandchildren even those he wasn’t able to spend time with. He also left behind two sisters Wida (Jalbert) and Helen (Pelletier) and one brother Herman.
He had various jobs during his life: logger, cement finisher, hand sewer, etc. and was known for being an incredible hard worker. Lawrence enjoyed playing his guitar, hunting deer, billiards, cooking and long walks. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a faithful parishioner of St Peter and Paul Basilica.
He will be fondly remembered as a generous, soft spoken and easy going man who made everyone around him welcome.
He was also a doting and devoted husband to his wife Therese. They were inseparable and loved to spend time with family, laugh, listen to music, play cards. It gives his family great comfort to know that Dad and Mom are now united.
