MOVING DAY—There was excitement on Broad Street last Wednesday as the circa 1922 Mt. Zircon Moon Tide Spring bottle lunch stand was moved down the street from the Hastings Homestead (18 Broad Street) to the Museums of the Bethel Historical Society’s O’Neill Robinson house (10 Broad Street). The move was accomplished by an enthusiastic crew of incoming freshmen from Bowdoin College, who volunteered their time and energy as part of an orientation trip sponsored by Bowdoin’s McKeen Center for Common Good. Several programs are being planned for next year at MBHS to celebrate the building’s 100th anniversary. Submitted
