Loula Ouellette

LEWISTON – On Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021 Loula Ouellette, loving mother of four children, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren passed away at the age of 83 at Montello Manor in Lewiston.Loula was born Sept. 20, 1937 in Lewiston, to Lucien and Lucia Drapeau (of Drapeau’s Costume Shop). Loula worked at Bates Mill for 30 years as a stitcher and mender. She was married to Francis Foster of South Boston MA for 18yrs and Lucien Ouellette of Livermore Falls ME for 8 years. Loula raised three daughters and one son. Loula had a gentle soul, she was a very hard worker and an independent woman. She loved being with her family on Sundays. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, doing puzzles, and cooking. She was a member of the Elks club in Lewiston. Her favorite color was purple. She loved lighthouses.Loula was preceded in death by her father, Lucien, and her mother Lucia Drapeau, and her sister Lorraine Aubut and both husbands. She is survived by her sister Lilly Hill of Decatur, Il. Her children Susan Hilb of Sabattus, ME and Cindy and Carmille Bernard of Auburn, ME, Michael and Linda Foster of Kissimmee Fl, and Emmy Ouellette of Buffalo NY. Grandchildren; Crystal Bernard of Sabattus, ME, Chelsea and Josh Pratt of Greene, ME, Jamie Hilb and Shannon Taylor of Sabattus, ME, Michaela Hilb of Lewiston, ME, Charlotte Barren, and Lucianne Barren of Buffalo NY. Great grandchildren; Zander Lawler of Sabattus, ME, Jackson Pratt and Jaysea Pratt of Greene, ME, Sierra Pennell and Addison Taylor of Sabattus, ME. Four nieces and One nephew; Lisa Hill of Grayville Il, Cheryl Hill of Decatur, Il, Wendy Bunting of Albion, Il. Dan and Tracy Aubut of Buckfield, ME and Tina Aubut of So Portland, ME. A Committal service will be held on September 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St Peter’s Cemetery in the large Chapel.
