Each rider in the The Northern New England High School Mountain Bike Race Series has their bike tagged. The racing series is broken into three divisions: West, Central and East. Students at Maine public and private schools primarily compete in the East division. Schools from the West (Vermont), Central (New Hampshire and Massachusetts) and East (Maine) meet up during the first and last race of the season. Daryn Slover/Sun Journal
