Other staff members and volunteers from the ArtVan, a mobile arts therapy program, are assisted by parents, friends and grandparents of participants, including Nanci Breau of Lewiston, red vest, who brought her grandchildren. ArtVan has partnered with Lewiston Public Library to offer a free, 1½-hour art program every Wednesday from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. through Dec. 22. Because of in-person restrictions at the library, the program is held outdoors and has benefited from good weather for the past six sessions, at which organizers offer free craft materials, instruction and opportunities for participants to express themselves, show personal growth and have fun.
