Abby Korn of Texas carefully cleans the limestone headstone of Samuel Brown on Wednesday afternoon in a private cemetery on Rabbit Valley Road in Oxford. The Oxford native has always helped maintain the small plot where Brown, a Revolutionary War and War of 1812 veteran, is buried. He was given the land for his service in the War of 1812.
