Altheare Lariviere Shaw

SOUTH PARIS – Renown hair salon owner and baker extraordinaire, Altheare Lariviere Shaw, 85, left this world suddenly on Oct. 19, 2021. She was born in Norway on Feb. 10, 1936, to Madeline and Arthur Lariviere.

She graduated from Norway High School and remained close to many childhood friends for over eight decades. Altheare poured her heart and soul into family, friends, baking, and her hair salon, B and F Hair Fashions. She was proud of her French-Canadian heritage. She touched everybody’s lives she encountered. She showed up when it mattered, had your back, and gave to those in need.

Altheare was talented in many aspects of her life. Her self-taught baking talents won awards and sought top dollar at charity auctions. Altheare took great pride in achieving her lifelong dream of attending beauty school and owning a salon. She thrived as a salon owner and loved working side by side with her daughter-in-law, Tammy Field. Most importantly, Altheare was a proud mother. There was never a day that went by she didn’t brag about her family.

Altheare is survived by her loving husband Fred Shaw; her sons, Steve Field, Wayne Field, and Howard Field, stepchildren Deborah Six, Mike Shaw, and Mark Shaw; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces; and dear friends. She is predeceased by her parents, brothers, and daughter-in-law.

A celebration of life will take place at the First Congregational Church on E Main St, South Paris on Nov 13 at 11 a.m. All are welcomed.

Arrangements under the guidance of Chandler Funeral Homes South, Paris, Maine.
