Eva J. (Charpentier) Croteau

LEWISTON – Eva J. (Charpentier) Croteau, 88, passed away on Nove. 3, 2021. She was born in Lewiston on March 13, 1933 to Edouard and Laura ( Morin ) Charpentier.

Eva married friend, husband and love, Joseph E. Croteau, in 1956 and were together 33 years when he predeceased her in 1989.

Eva met her longtime companion and partner Eugene ( Gene ) Dackmine in 1991 and they were together until his death in the spring of this year. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She worked as a certified nurse’s aide for Saint Mary’s Hospital for many years and later had her own business cleaning doctor’s offices in the Lewiston and Auburn area.

She enjoyed going to yard sales and working on arts and crafts and the occasional turkey or deer hunt with Gene.

Eva is survived by her daughter Suzanne Morlock and her husband Paul of Lisbon Falls, her son Scott Croteau and his partner Jessica O’Brien of Phillips. Also her three grandchildren, Stephanie (Morlock ) Stetson and husband Jeffery, CH (Capt.) Philip Morlock and his wife Angelina and Sebastien Croteau. In addition four great-grandchildren, Stacia, Noah, Avalin, Adylind.

A service will be held at a later date.
