Ralph R. Libby

LEWISTON – Ralph R. Libby , 88, of the Woodlands Memory Care in Lewiston, formerly of Beech Hill Road, Auburn, went home to heaven, Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at the Hospice House.

He was born in Yarmouth, Jan. 21, 1933, the middle son of Alton and Grace Smith Libby. He was a graduate of Edward Little High School Class of 1952. On June 27, 1952 he married Lorraine Ella Marshall.

In 1953, he left to serve in the Army in Germany. Upon returning home in 1955, he resumed his employment with CMP. He also worked for UPS. He and Lorraine owned and operated Mario’s of Gray for 14 years. After that, he worked for M & V Builders and finally at Morin Brick in Danville.

He enjoyed camping and traveling the state with Lorraine. He lived his faith. Always being one of the first to offer help if needed. He was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church in Auburn.

Survivors include his two brothers: Robert of Auburn and David (Dottie) of Poland two sons: Ralph Jr (Susan) of Poland and Scott (Judy) of Auburn. Five grandchildren: Matthew, Samuel, Jeffrey, Sara and Tyler. Eight great grandchildren: Skyler, Jetta, Wylder, Karmann, Makeisha, Demarcus, Amani and Alexander.

He was predeceased by Lorraine and a granddaughter Amanda Sue.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 13 at 11 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 43 Washington Street, Auburn.
