PARIS — Two people were taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital early Thursday morning after fire destroyed their home on Oxford Street, Paris Fire Chief Mark Blaquiere said.

Blaquiere said he did not know the homeowners’ names or their conditions.

Firefighters from Paris and other towns responded to the 12:37 a.m. call. According to Blaquiere, firefighters returned to the scene at 8:30 a.m. because the fire rekindled.
