TURNER — A fire at the North Turner Post Office was put out quickly by firefighters Saturday afternoon.

According to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, the Turner Fire Department responded to a call at 30 Howes Corner Road around 1:14 p.m. The blaze took less than half hour to get under control, with the help of a few local departments.

Livermore, Livermore Falls, Minot, Auburn, Leeds, Buckfield, Sumner, Canton, Hebron and Jay fire departments provided mutual aid, the sheriff’s office said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
