Judith (Fuller) Holbrook

AUBURN – Judith (Fuller) Holbrook, born April 15, 1939 in Bar Harbor, died Dec. 10, 2021, in Auburn, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She handled her disease with such grace, and always managed to keep a smile on her face. Judy graduated from Buckfield High School, then went on to earn her teaching degree from the University of Southern Maine at Gorham. Judy taught grade school for over 30 years, with a majority of her time spent teaching at Fairview School in Auburn. She developed life long friendships with countless coworkers, and students along her tenure. She was a devoted member of the West Auburn Congregational Church, and enjoyed volunteering at CMMC for years. Judy was a social butterfly, and kept close friendships with so many, for many years. She always made sure to have her check ins, breakfast dates, or shopping trips with Polly Jones, Patty Jacobs, Harletta Stewart, Glenys Ryder, Dick and Sandra Vye, and too many others to name. Judy loved to spend any free time she had with her beloved family and friends. She was always looking forward to the yearly family reunion “Morleybrook” on Tripp lake, or her next trip to Alabama. Judy had a major love for sports, and loved to closely follow the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. Which included several trips to Fenway Park in Boston which she always enjoyed. She was the mother who never missed an event her children participated in. This included band concerts, little league baseball games, basketball, and softball games. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence Holbrook, parents Carlton and Irma Fuller, and sisters, Annette Lee, and Carlene Moore. She is survived by her son Alan Holbrook, and his wife Robin Rockett of Turner, Maine, her daughter Rebecca Hicks, and her husband Michael Hicks of West Blocton, Alabama.
