NEW YORK — Lewiston native Isaiah Harris  placed third in the Mike Frankfurt Invitational 800-meter run at the Millrose Games on Saturday, finishing with a time of 1 minute, 46.49 seconds. 

Bryce Hoppel earned the victory with a time of 1:46.05, the best time in the world this season.

Harris, in his first race with Brooks after several years with Nike, ran the second-slowest 200-meter split in 26.25. The Lewiston-native then came from the back of the pack and ran the fastest 200-meter split (26.28) to put himself right in contention after 400 meters. 

Harris ran the final 200 meters in 26.65, the fastest split among the runners, to finish third in a close finish. Michael Saruni finished runner-up in 1:46.32.
