PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Mary Jane Pepin (Smith), 55, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, 2:45 a.m., at Tidewell Hospice where she lost her battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard Pepin of 37 years; their children, Brian Smith, spouse Nichole Smith; grandkids, Austin, Esabella, Dylan; Allison Huffman, spouse Jarrett Huffman; grandkids Benjamin, Chloe, Richard, Savannah; Brothers Daniel Smith, spouse Shelly Smith, Robert Smith, spouse Sue Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mary grew up in Poland, Maine, where she attended Edward Little High School. Mary became a CNA and worked at Russell Park in Lewiston, Maine. She was also the best homemaker anyone could ask for. She loved to cook, solve puzzles, and spent hours playing outside with her kids and teaching them new games. She loved to listen to music and talk on the phone with family. She loved animals so much. She had cats and she had many dogs, even breeding them at one point in time. If you met her she would always make you feel welcomed. She would do anything for a laugh and always enjoyed a good joke. Anyone that knew her, knew she had such a big heart. She would always make you feel right at home even if that was putting you in your place.
Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
