NORWAY — The Table, located at 160 Main Street, continues to be busy, offering weekly free clothing give-aways, free breakfast at the Norway Grange, recovery groups, and activities with the “HOG’s” (Healthy Outdoor Group).

The Table continues to offer free clothing on Tuesday and Wednesdays from 1 p.m.-5 p.m., as well as the last Saturday of each month from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. There is a variety of clothing available for both genders and many sizes. The Table is located at 160 Main St. in Norway (across the road from the hospital).

Staff will be on hand to help customers find specific clothing to aid in an efficient flow through the building. The Table accepts donations of lightly used clothing and footwear on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. We are also in great need of children’s lightly used or new clothing and shoes. Money to purchase new socks and underwear would be very much appreciated.

The Oxford Hills Community has had several horrific fires this season. The Table has worked with the Red Cross to help the families with needed clothing. We are very blessed by a generous community that donates to The Table, which enables us to be there for people in their hardest of times.

We are currently seeking additional free space to house our clothing ministry. We would be very interested in talking with any person or business who may have an empty in-town building and is looking to give back to the community. We are always looking for community partnerships to help us provide for the needs of our community.

The Table’s HOG (Healthy Outdoor Group) continues to hike every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. Please, follow The Table’s Facebook page for schedules. The HOG is a group of people enjoying the beautiful state of Maine and sharing it with others. The group is not a professional group. The HOG is accepting donations of kayaks or monitory donations towards the purchase of kayaks, as during the warmer months the group goes kayaking every Sunday.
