POLAND — The Mechanic Falls, Minot, and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club is proud to announce its RSU 16 Student of the Month recipient for February, Ashley Strout.

An eighth-grader from Bruce M. Whittier Middle School, Ashley is described by her teacher as a ‘four-leaf clover’ kind of student. As President of Student Council, she takes pride in her school and is a natural leader who uses her voice to rally her peers in Student Council and beyond.

She is thoughtful, has a willingness to listen to others, and is always supportive of those around her.
