In reference to the Feb. 18 article, “Governor supports limited expansion of tribal rights, while casino interests cry foul,” we might think about the following.

When we Mainers sit down to grant Maine’s indigenous people benefits, I wonder if we remember with any conscience that our predecessors destroyed their civilization and now inhabit and completely control their homeland?
