Theresa Leblanc Theriault
RUMFORD – Theresa Leblanc Theriault, 96, died Sunday April 10, 2022, at the Rumford Community Home. She resided on Maple Street in Rumford until she was 94.Born in Rumford, on Dec. 14, 1925. She was the daughter of Auguste and Emma (Grenier) LeBlanc. Theresa was a graduate of Mexico High School. She worked for Oxford Paper Company for a short time. She worked as a waitress in Poland Springs, Rangeley, and Florida. She worked for over 25 years at the Mexico Chicken Coop. She loved meeting people and waitressing was the perfect social outlet. She was a favorite server to many of the regulars and annual out-of-towners. She was a communicant of the Parish of The Holy Savior St Athanasius St John Church and a former member of St John’s Guild and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.Theresa was married in Mexico, on Nov. 3, 1948, to Philip Theriault who died in Rumford on Feb. 12, 2008.After retirement, she and Phil enjoyed traveling the country on many road trips with friends and family. They saw most of the states including a road trip to Alaska. She loved socializing with friends and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her great grandchildren brought her much joy.She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Brooks and husband Randy of Peru and Sandra Drapeau and husband James of Rumford, sons, Timothy and spouse Dorr Fox of Boston, and Peter and wife Marian of Wiscasset, grandchildren, Jasmine Daigle and Jacob Brooks, great-grandchildren, Kendall, Sydney and Dane. She was predeceased by a son Thomas and daughter-in- law Ellie, brothers, Florent, Jules and Gaston LeBlanc.The family would like to thank the Rumford Community staff and the staff from Beacon Hospice, especially April and Kenzie.Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest book and share memories with the family at http://www.meaderandson.com.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday May 7, 2022 at the Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius – St. John Church, 126 Maine Ave., Rumford.
